Virginia Occupational Safety and Health Conference (VOSH)

This year the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry, in cooperation with the Virginia State Association of Occupational Health Nurses (VSAOHN), presents the Virginia Occupational Safety and Health Conference. This conference helps educate and provide affordable safety and health training opportunities to employers, employees and safety and health professionals. Download the 2016 Conference Brochure.

Returning in 2016 – VOSH Consultation Division would like to invite you to submit Safety and Health Posters for a Poster Session at the 20th Annual Virginia Occupational Safety and Health Conference, taking place October 19th-21st, 2016 in Hampton, Virginia.  The Poster Session consists of presentations displayed on bulletin boards by an individual or small group and usually include a brief narrative mixed with illustrations, tables, graphs, and similar presentation formats. The poster can communicate a specific safety and health hazard, best practices, or other noteworthy topics from the occupational safety and health field.  Posters are displayed for the duration of the conference, so that interested persons can view the work. There will be no in-person presentations of the posters, so attendance at the VOSH Conference is not required, but is however, encouraged.  The Poster Session will take place in high-traffic areas and the vendor area during the conference.  Guidelines for poster submissions are included the link included below.

Please submit your poster proposal to Jennifer Rose, Consultation Program Manager, at jennifer.rose@doli.virginia.gov by July 31 to allow the VOSH Conference Planning Committee to preview the Poster Submissions and to ensure adequate space availability during the conference.  Proposals for Poster Sessions must include the following:

  • Title of Poster Session
  • Brief summary of poster
  • Your contact information including Name, Title, E-mail address and Telephone number

Poster displays must be submitted by Thursday, October 20th to Jennifer Rose, for transport to the conference; or may be submitted in person by 5:00 PM Tuesday, October 18th at the Embassy Suites Hampton Roads – Hotel Spa & Convention Center.
